Booking & Appointments

Booking an appointment can be done via telephone call, text, or e-mail. For an added convenience, you may also request an appointment online using our online booking system (please visit homepage for link). The spa is opened by appointment only & does not accept walk-in services to ensure the efficiency of operations. We are currently closed on Thursdays & Sundays, but may also be closed other days for holidays and the like. Please check Facebook to see if we are open or give us a call at (603) 403-0017. Spa Policies

The spa operates strictly on a one on one basis, meaning each appointment slot is dedicated to only one pet per staff member. Because of the nature of operations, prompt arrival is essential to avoid overlap. Additionally, we appreciate prompt pickup when your pet is done so that we can continue to operate smoothly & provide a personalized experience for every pet. In the event you cannot come to pick up your pet promptly, we may hold them in a holding pen until you arrive. 

Missed Appointments

Once an appointment has been made, the time slot is set aside specifically for your pet(s). Our booking software sends confirmation of the appointment when it is made in addition to sending out reminder texts/e-mails 24-48 hours before you're scheduled to arrive. In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, kindly give 24 hours notice so that we can fill your time slot, as an empty spot equates to income lost. If an appointment is canceled due to a no-call no-show situation or outside of our 24-hour notice window, your account will incur a fee equal to 100% of the estimated cost of service. Rebooking will not be permitted until this fee is settled. In the event of a true emergency, this fee may be waived at owner/groomer's discretion.

Service Agreement & Related Forms

All clients are required to digitally sign our service agreement before services are rendered. This document is filed electronically in your client account & should be read and understood carefully. If any changes are made to the form, a new signature will be required and placed on file. All pets must be up to date on their rabies vaccination before they can be seen. Proof of this is required through documentation that can be shown or emailed to us, or we may contact your veterinarian for a verbal update. Special circumstances may be made for a dog who has had adverse reactions to vaccinations or for legitimate medical reasons. In the event your pet is severely matted or in poor health, services may be declined or require a signature on a matted pet release form. All forms should be reviewed carefully before signing.

Health & Safety

At the Plush Pooch Pet Spa, the health & safety of your pet and of our staff is paramount. For this reason, services may be declined or discontinued if deemed a risk to the pet or the staff. Payment for services rendered will still be required, depending on the stage during which service was terminated. We absolutely, under no circumstances, accept dogs who are highly aggressive towards people or other dogs. If you feel your dog may be fearfully reactive or aggressive, please book a free, in-person consultation with us prior to making an appointment for grooming or bath services. We reserve the right to decline service on any pet for any reason.

Re-booking & Maintenance Schedules

In the event of severe matting, a complete shavedown may be recommended as it can become quite unpleasant & even painful to excessively de-mat a dog's coat. In fact, de-matting in excess of 15 minutes will have detrimental effects to the dog's coat and skin, with a potential for coat breakage & irritation. Therefore, it may be in your pet's best interest to start with a clean slate. In this instance, your groomer may recommend a maintenance schedule to avoid further matted shavedowns & discomfort for your dog. It is strongly recommended to get your dog on a regular grooming schedule, especially if the dog has a history of being in poor shape. In extreme cases, you may be required to maintain a schedule, or you may be excused as a client. At The Plush Pooch Pet Spa, we place the comfort and health of the animals above all else. As we like to say: "humanity over vanity". Suggested maintenance for most dogs is 4-8 weeks for dogs that require haircutting, or 8-12 weeks for dogs who need baths only. We strongly recommend a grooming schedule of every 4-5 weeks for any kind of doodle of any size.

Respect & Courtesy

Anything other than proper and polite decorum will not be tolerated. Please do not verbally assault or offend members of the staff or other clients. Be respectful and mindful of the fact that this facility receives multiple guests in addition to yourself. Grooming services take time, especially if a dog is large, very overdue, anxious, or a senior pet. We will call or text you when your dog(s) are ready. Please do not rush us. In short, please be kind and courteous all around, or you'll be dismissed from the spa permanently.
